I am always looking for interesting Internet tools. Usually I gravitate toward tools that are free, as there are so many good ones. Most Internet marketers only have so much time. However, on occasion I come across some tools such as TypePad that, while not free, do spark my interest.
TypePad will remind many of WordPress in its approach and functionality. Both sites allow users to create blogs. Those blogs have features such as search engine optimization built right in. There are, however, very significant differences between these two blogging heavyweights.
TypePad does charge its users a monthly fee. However, TypePad does allow users to have complete control over their pages. The free version of WordPress, of course, does not have this functionality. In order to get it, you do have to pay a monthly fee.
TypePad is also used a great many large companies and entities such as MSNBC and GE. One of the reasons behind this is that TypePad sites generally look quite nice. There is no doubt that the look and feel of TypePad is part of what draws users to it.
If TypePad had a free version, as WordPress does, then this decision would be a very easy one. Internet marketers might want to seriously consider TypePad, as the prices are low and the slick look of the blogs could translate into additional sales, which could easily pay for the TypePad fees. Those on a restricted budget will, of course, find passing up on WordPress’s free options a tad difficult.
Internet marketers who decide to use TypePad can expect to pay as little as $8 per month, but there are upload restrictions and limits. This point could factor in greatly depending upon how active you are on your blog.
Being able to make choices of this sort goes back to being clear headed and calm. Many of life’s challenges fall into this category. In part this is why I love meditation and yoga and have followed both ancient disciplines for years.
I found that when I was faced with my own personal tragedy, such as losing both my real estate businesses in 2007 thanks to the real estate crash, the discipline of yoga and meditation were of tremendous help. I feel that they can help you in the same way. Remember the ultimate goal is to stay calm and clear headed so that you can achieve what you want in life, such as making more money!
