Keep in mind that not only should it be free, but it must also be useful for them. Ebooks are popular gift items as well as white papers or reports about the niche or industry you are in. There are other less common freebies that you can give such as coupons, software, a set of PLR articles, and free membership to your exclusive forum, or a limited access to a popular online service. Just be as creative as you can on choosing your freebie.

3. Learn search engine optimization.

What good is your list building if no people get to visit your website? This is why search engine optimization is very important. Your goal must be to rank among the first results in any search queries because it will almost guarantee you a good amount of traffic and exposure. Learn how the search engine works and you can harness that knowledge and use it to your Internet marketing advantage.
