Did you know that it’s incredibly easy to get help offline business go online?

You may be hesitant and feel as if you don’t know enough about Internet Marketing – but the truth is, even knowing how to do some of the most basic things is a lot more than many others know.

The thing is, a lot of marketers take for granted what they know because they’re constantly immersed in it.

In this article we’re going to discuss some basic things that offline business owners would LOVE to know about, that might seem like second nature to you:

1. Social media. I’m always hearing business owners ask about social media, and how to utilize it for their businesses. Just explaining how to set up Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace profiles as well as types of information of what to put in there could be huge for an offline business owner.

Some things you could share with them are to put coupons on their pages for their online users, or to put things on sale that only Twitter followers know about (so it wouldn’t even be marked in the storefront), or to get feedback.

2. Basic SEO. Explaining how to rank higher in the search engines is HUGE to offline owners – and you can revolutionize their world with some basic tips. Explain how to put their keywords in META tags and in the title of their site, how to write search engine optimized articles, and how to use articles to produce traffic and backlinks. Most of these things are completely foreign to them and you’ll sound like a genius.

3. Opt-ins. Many small business owners don’t know the power of an opt-in, and when you show them the incredible increase in business it’ll bring them, they’ll be loving you. Simply showing them where to get an autoresponder, how to add the code, and how to compel people to sign up is big information for people who aren’t studying marketing on a frequent basis.

Of course, there are plenty of other things you could teach offline business owners – especially if you have specialties – but the point here is to show you that things that may seem like common sense, “duh” stuff to you is huge to others – and your skills are highly valuable.
