Your business should have a website, you should have added content, images and a payment method. Now there is the problem of driving visitors to your site.
You’ve probably heard of your site’s meta tag by now, your meta tag is the tag that is shown when someone searches for a keyword relating to your business. The best meta tags look like this:
Meta Title:(Most Important Keyword | Second Most Important Keyword | Third Most Important)
Meta Description: (Just give a short but accurate description of your business here, making sure to mention the keywords as listed in the title tag.)
Keywords: (Add in the keywords you used for the title tag here.)
After that, your meta tag should be optimized for search engines. You can get special WordPress plugins to help you change your meta tag if needed.
The next and most important stage of advertising your business on Google is backlinks, links from other sites pointing to yours. The best ways to do this is; writing articles with your links in the resource box, posting on forums, posting on blogs and submitting your website into directories.
The best quality links are links with anchor text relating to the keywords you chose above for your title tags. Eg, if your keyword was, “Web Hosting” you should try to get as many links as possible using the words Web Hosting as the actual link.
Posting on relevant forums and blogs can also be a good way to increase your backlink count. Although the links will not be as good quality as the links in articles, they can still help. This will also result in a small amount of traffic heading through your links.
If you put the effort in and start to slowly build up your backlink count, you will see an increase in visitors and hopefully sales.
