Most of us write articles, lens’, hubs, blog posts and submit videos to get more feed and traffic back to our site. Lets face it, some of us rely on traffic to our work to gain either revenue or traffic or both. The nature of the beast lies in people being able to find our work in search engines. To help blogs find it faster, you’ll need to ping your work using an automatic pinging service.
How Do I Ping My Articles and Other Work
Pinging your articles, videos, posts and everything else is simple and can be made automatic. There are quite a few free places online to ping your articles and the most advanced one I have used is pinglers.com. Be cautioned though, you should really only ping your work once per day – and its best to ping only every three days.
Although, to speed up the process to have the search engines know where your articles and hubs are, simply ping them. You can even subscribe to a service like pinglers.com and have them auto ping your articles every few days freeing you up to continue to write articles instead of spend time promoting them.
Some blog owners rely heavily on an “autoblogger” system which simply scrapes articles that fit the keywords they are looking for. If your site is sitting on the bottom of page 100 – it will never be used and you can kiss the backlink goodbye.
But how long does it really take to get noticed by search engines and other blogs looking for like-minded keyword rich information to put on their own websites? Often, if the post is not keyword sufficient to support the title, it may take a while. If you have done your homework and researched the article you’ll know where to post your keywords and how they will affect the search and grab most blog owners are looking for.
Some of the reasons to ping your hubs, videos and articles:
- Gain readership for your content (more traffic)
- More traffic = more exposure and more popularity
- More revenue if your hubs share AdSense or other PPC ads
- Best reason of all, pinging takes only a few seconds and is free!
Pinging an article is simply a method of alerting search engines that your work exists. You can either spend a lot of time writing articles or promoting them – much simper to promote them with a free ping!
Not only can you ping your Hubs, but you can also ping:
- Ezine Articles
- Videos
- Blog Posts
- Squidoo Lens’
- Hub Pages
- …and even comments you post on blogs
