The Customer Advantage – Is The Customer Advantage Really An Advantage?

The Customer Advantage is a new company founded by John Milanoski. Milanoski has drawn quite a bit of attention to his new company. The model is simple members join The Customer Advantage for free. Members receive coupons from local businesses typically in the range of 50% discounts. The member can choose to use or not use the coupon. If the member wants to use the coupon they purchase it and the business immediately gains a new customer. It’s a win-win because the customer also gets a great deal and if the customer is satisfied word of mouth is priceless for the business.
The Customer Advantage also has a network marketing component which allows for commissions and bonuses. Here’s how it works – when a purchase is made the referring member makes 5% of the purchase. When a new business enrolls there is a 2% commission made on all offers made from that business.
By all indications this seems like a legitimate opportunity to a great income in the home based business industry.
There are many factors that will determine if a company like The Customer Advantage will gain traction or fail.
Fact #1: Leadership is key and no company will make it long term with poor leadership. John Milanoski is best known for his Marketing Millionaire System and is an experienced entrepreneur.
Fact #2: Unique Product and a strong distribution team are vital to longevity. Groupons have proven to be very successful so the product is relevant. Now it will be up to the company to recruit distributors that have strong circles of influence. Keeping these recruits trained will be an important factor for a beginning foundation.
Fact #3: The Customer Advantage must have a good marketing model in conjunction with their product to keep its recruits happy and productive. Attrition will make or break a business especially a new business. It will be interesting to see if this company can find the balance.
The Customer Advantage is poised to have a strong presence in the market place and has certainly done a good job in pre-launch. This could be a good opportunity for the new network marketer.
There is however a “but”, and not just for The Customer Advantage BUT for any new startup. Success depends on leadership putting all the pieces together and creating a model that is easy for both members and merchants to follow. If this is coordinated by the leadership team success is just over the horizon.
